"Velvet Soap" is more luxurious than regular coconut soap and pampers and moisturizes the skin more effectively. In addition to coconut oil, the soap contains olive oil and shea butter.
Olive oil is known for its skin-friendly properties. This helps maintain the skin's natural moisture balance, making the soap especially suitable for drier and more sensitive skin.
Coconut oil gives the soap a pleasant, cleansing lather and helps remove dirt and excess oil without over-drying the skin. This makes the soap effective, yet balanced for daily use.
Shea butter adds a luxurious, creamy texture to the soap and supports skin softness and elasticity. Shea butter is valued for its nourishing and protective properties, helping the skin to remain pleasantly smooth after washing.
The colors and natural character of the soap come from minerals:
Red illite clay helps gently cleanse the skin and gives the soap a warm, earthy tone.
Green montmorillonite clay is known for its deep cleansing properties and is also good for oily skin.
Yellow mica adds a beautiful natural shine to the soap, emphasizing the artisanal uniqueness of each bar of soap.
The cold process method preserves the naturally occurring glycerin in the soap, which helps retain moisture in the skin and makes washing a pleasantly soft experience.
✨ The result is a soap that cleans effectively, cares gently and looks beautiful - a simple, honest and skin-friendly choice for everyday use.
All Mai Shop bar soaps are made from natural ingredients using the cold process method. To achieve the highest quality, we dry the bar soaps at the right temperature for at least 4 weeks. During this time, the water initially added evaporates, the soap saponifies, becomes harder and longer-lasting. The longer the bar soap stands, the more it dries and loses weight, being like mature rennet cheese, offering an experience for true natural cosmetics gourmets.
Why is there a white layer on the surface of the soap? Some of our soaps may have a delicate white layer, called soda ash. This is formed during the natural soap making process when the soap mixture comes into contact with air. The layer does not affect the quality or use of the soap in any way - the soap is still as gentle and effective. It is only a cosmetic phenomenon that confirms that the soap is handmade and made in a natural way. 🌿
What is Mica? Micas are mineral dyes consisting of mica, oxides and ultramarines.
